Short Street Store – The best café in Dubbo according to Trip-Advisor. Short Street Store has a good atmosphere, eclectic deco, delicious food menu, and coffee. Open at 6am on weekdays, Short Street Store is perfect for the adventurers’ early rising meal. The Press – Ranked as the second-best café in Dubbo on Trip-Advisor, The Press have converted a heritage cottage into the hanging gardens of Babylon. With covered outdoor seating you will be surrounded by exposed timber and a plethora of hanging plants, flower-pots, and ferns. Dining at The Press is a delight for the senses: order a smashed avocado sprinkled with sesame seeds, crushed pistachios, and spring flowers. Not to mentioned the quinoa and hummus on sour-dough! Short Street Store – Get in for an early lunch on the weekends as they close at 2pm. During the week enjoy a late or slow and lazy lunch.

The Press – see the above reference to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World (not a bad afternoon tidbit for the bored children in the room or conversation starter at dinner with your friends).

Veldt Restaurant – Veldt offers a formal dining experience immersed in some old-world style. With a European/Australian menu of seasonal dishes structured around a meat or fish, you’ll find an entre-main-desert combo to delight the senses. Keep in mind they also offer a range of gluten-free and vegan options, with an adaptable menu. Make a reservation at Veldt for your dinner, they’re at 22 Bultje St, Quest Building, Dubbo.

Royal India Restobar – Enjoy some Indian if you in Dubbo. Royal India Restobar is exclusively open for dinner weekends only. Make your way to 29 Bultje St, opposite the Quest Apartment, Dubbo for an immersion into Indian cuisine in a sparkling setting.

Old Bank Restaurant – A lovely heritage building with veranda, balcony, and cozy interior. The Old Bank Restaurant is not open Sunday – It is open all other days for lunch, dinner and till late. Head to 232 Maquarie St, Dubbo.
