The GPC Spring Nationals is a powerlifting event being held at Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre in Dubbo, NSW, during November 2021. The event is open to Global Powerlifting Committee Australia members only, across a variety of competitor categories, including Teens, Juniors, Masters, Equipped and Single Lift (TJMES).

The Global Powerlifting Committee’s Teens/Juniors/Masters/Equipped/Single Lift (TJMES) Spring Nationals 2021 event is being organised by Nemesis Fitness – a Dubbo gym that is dedicated to powerlifting, strength and conditioning, and injury rehabilitation, with a strong community of powerlifting coaches and athletes. The Global Powerlifting Committee (GPC) Australia
GPC Australia is the official Australian affiliate of the Global Powerlifting Committee (GPC), an international powerlifting federation. GPC Australia’s aim is to provide Australian powerlifters with a range of high-quality yearly powerlifting events around Australia, with the ultimate of goal of sending a team of Australians to the GPC World Championships each year.
GPC Australia events range across both ‘Raw’ and ‘Equipped’ powerlifting, in squat, bench press and deadlift events. GPC Australia differs from many other Australian powerlifting federations, in that for ‘Raw’ powerlifting events:
- Belts and wrist wraps are allowed.
- Knee coverings (knee sleeves and knee wraps with a maximum length of 2.5 metres) are allowed on squat lifts only.
- Knee sleeves cannot be worn in deadlift events.
- Elbow sleeves cannot be worn in squat, bench press or deadlift events.
GPC Australia prides themselves of being different from other Australian powerlifting federations in one other very important way: They consider themselves to be far more supportive in assisting their lifters to meet the financial burdens associated with attending world championships, dividing any money raised evenly between contenders to allow more Australian powerlifters to represent Australia on the world stage.
