Comedy Events
Comedy Night, with Daniel Townes & Jacques Barrett
June 11th at 7pm
Wellington Civic Centre, Swift Street, Wellington
Headlining the Comedy Night featuring Daniel Townes & Jacques Barrett will be Daniel Townes who is a renowned Australian stand-up comedian known for sharp one-liners and savage social commentary-cracking dark jokes on his failings.
Followed by Jacques Barrett is another well sought-after comedian in Australia, with strong performance skills and brilliantly written material which leaves the crowd laughing well after the curtains go down.

Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow

If the last Comedy Night leaves you craving more laughs, only a week later the Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow will be in Dubbo. Touring across the country, this roadshow will feature Australian stars and talented newcomers performing stand-up, sketches, and songs to lighten up your day.

Dubbo Community NAIDOC Ball

Zooom is a magical journey about a child alone in her bedroom, unable to sleep and seeking understanding. Through this she finds out that there is much enchantment to be found in the dark. The audience will experience an immersive journey featuring original music, lasers, and projections. Zooom is perfect for the younger members of the family and will be a show to remember!

The Grand Tour

The Grand Tour is an illustrated journey across the world with the Western Plains Cultural Centre. This will show events from around the world and how they affected our current culture in Australia. Curator Kent Buchanan will discuss some of those events and ideas and answer questions from those in the audience.
Lindy Lee – Moon in a Dew Drop

Moon in Dew Drop is a unique exhibit from Chinese-Australian artist, Lindy Lee. Artworks featured in the exhibit have been made in unconventional ways such as burning paper, letting rain manipulate the surface, throwing molten bronze over the pieces.
Something Different
Cross-Cultural Celebration 2021

The Cross-Cultural Celebration 2021 is an event held to promote social cohesion among migrants but also to educate and make a bigger community. This event is free and open to the public and will include cultural food stalls.
Rabbitohs vs Penrith Panthers

South Sydney Rabbitohs v Penrith Panthers is the match to see in Dubbo. This will be the first Premiership NRL game to be played at Apex Oval. There will also be full bar facilities and food available for the whole day.
