Dubbo Art Fair
In August 2021 the Western Plains Cultural Centre will hold the inaugural Dubbo Art Fair, an art exhibition organised by Dubbo Regional Council as part of its commitment to delivering on its Cultural Development Plan.
The Cultural Centre’s Gallery will open its doors to local independent and emerging visual artists and designers, who will be able to show off their artistic talents, offer their work for sale, engage with the public and network with other artists in the regional art scene.
The art fair provides an opportunity for artists who reside in the Dubbo Regional Council LGA to display their work to the public. Artists have their own dedicated exhibition booth at the fair, and there are no participation or stall fees, so all money raised through sales goes solely to the artist.
Organisers are hoping that a successful inaugural event will enable Dubbo Art Fair to become an annual fixture on Dubbo’s social and cultural calendar that will eventually grow to be the largest art fair in regional NSW.
Information About Visiting Dubbo Art Fair at Western Plains Cultural Centre
Dubbo Art Fair will be hosted by the Western Plains Cultural Centre, located at 76 Wingewarra Street, Dubbo.
The fair will be launched on Friday August 6, 2021, with an exclusive opening night party for artists and their families, friends, and clients, as well as members of the business community. The fair will then run from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th August 2021.
Admission to the fair is free, and visitors have the chance to see and support over 50 local and regional artists from the music and visual arts sectors. Exhibitors will be drawn from a range of styles and media, including:
- Paint
- Sculpture
- Design
- Carvings
- Photography
There is bound to be something that appeals to everyone!
